THE WILDERNESS - (Kingston, ON):
Set time: 10:10pm - 11:15pm
The Wilderness is a sextet based in Kingston, ON that has a massive and mighty sound - a propulsive and potent indie-rock-fusion with the live energy of an arena-rock band, the lyrical eloquence of Canada's folk heroes, and the musical precision of a hardened touring outfit. Featuring driving guitars, lush vocal harmonies, soaring saxophones, and heavy synthesizers, the Wilderness bring their own diverse musical backgrounds to a shared experience that evokes a sense of community, camaraderie, and forward momentum.
NEW FRIENDS - (London, ON):
Set time: 9:10pm - 9:50pm
With genre-bending anthems translated through impactful and relatable emotions, New Friends are reinventing the standard for what popular music can be. They were recently announced winners of the "It`s Your Shot" contest in Canada worth $100,000 in Artist Development. New Friends is rapidly becoming a recognized sound around the world.
HOTEL MIRA - (Vancouver, BC):
Set time: 8:20pm - 8:50pm
Vancouver`s Hotel Mira is the continued project of JPNSGRLS fronted just the same by mastermind Charlie Kerr. The singer and his bandmates—guitarist Colton Lauro and bassist Mike Noble—have taken the sound that the original lineup had made their name on out of the garage and into a considerably lusher musical landscape. With debut single "3 AM Lullaby" showcasing this first-hand, Hotel Mira is poised to take the foundation built under the former name as a SiriusXM Emerging Artist of the Year and international touring artist playing with acts such as The Heavy and Foals and progress even further.
THE BACKSTEPS - (Kingston, ON):
Set time: 7:30pm - 8:00pm
The Backsteps are a Canadian Rock band with catchy melodies, danceable beats and introspective but fun lyrics. Taking inspiration from their Punk roots, The Backsteps are often compared to acts like Green Day and the Hamburg/early Cavern Club-era Beatles. Whether you are listening at home, or at a live show, The Backsteps craft all of their songs with their audience in mind – more specifically, connecting with them. Career highlights include opening for Doyle, of Misfits fame, at the Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood and having their single ‘Notion’ debut on the Faction Punk station on SiriusXM Radio.
