ELECTRIC SIX - (Detroit, Michigan)
Set time: 10:20pm - 11:30pm
Spring Reverb welcomes Detroit's best sextet, ELECTRIC SIX! Combining elements of comedy rock, disco, garage, metal, new wave, and punk, E6 has achieved widespread recognition with the singles "Danger! High Voltage" and "Gay Bar." Formed in 1996, E6 has released 14 studio albums, two rarities albums, one live album and one live DVD. They last played Kingston over a decade ago to a sold out crowd. Don't miss this one!
JUSTIN BIRD & THE THORNS OF VENUS - (Kingston, ON):
Set time: 9:20pm - 10:00pm
Justin
Bird, musician, actor and general bon vivant, is a singer/songwriter
originally from Moncton, New Brunswick. He cites his influences as David
Bowie and Lou Reed, and his music finds a mixture between classic
glam-noir romps, moon rock, and the more dissonant and unsavoury tones
of jazz. Thorns of Venus emerged in 2016, craving ecstatic music-making,
filled with a desire to give Justin’s songs the voice they deserved.
THE ASTROS - (Kingston, Ontario):
Set time: 8:30pm - 9:00pm
Listening to The Astros is like taking a trip through a black hole. A combination of cosmic guitar sounds and songwriting, but in truth, even scientists don’t understand how they work. Based out of Kingston, The Astros are like driving an old muscle car that’s way too loud with its wheels falling off. But that’s a lot cooler than your mom’s hatchback, isn’t it?
